Conscious Cool Chic

The Cancer New Moon at 16 degrees has so many incredible energies associated with it that I am inspired to create new words for this special occasion: Sazzle (dazzle + sizzle), Flace (flow + grace) and Joymany (joy + harmony)!

Lovely potentials and new doorways are available to us like never before right now (repeat: Like. Never. Before. ) and raising our vibrations is highly, highly supported through trust, creativity, and intuition. If our intentions are in alignment with both personal desire and the global good, the cosmic potentials are waiting for us in the most Divine (and unexpected!) ways.

How you experience this New Moon depends on numerous factors (where Cancer is in your chart, the house, the aspects, etc.), but also how well you are releasing and letting go of outdated everything (emotional patterns, root chakra fears, family history, soul experiences, akashic records, etc.). Cancer is concerned about safety, nurturing, family, and establishing a home base, and yes, our lovely humans Selves do need those parts of our lives to be in a healthy place. However, we are energetically creating a new ‘home base’ that incorporates the vibration of Self you are now at (not what came before) and honors your foundational needs by choice, opposed to unconscious habits, heritage, or energetic cords that are holding you back.

Energetically, a force is moving us forward with sazzle, flace and joymany to connect us to the highest possible outcomes. Let go of anything your mind/ego/calendar has planned. Something greater is underway. Take all “the stuff” you have focused on and drop it in a river, allowing it to flow, flow, flow away so space is available for the fabulously-wonderful other possibilities to arrive.

The flow energy is because of the influential Water Grand Trine aspect that is activated throughout July. [A Grand Trine is a triangle where all three zodiac signs of the same element are connected: Cancer, Pisces, and Scorpio.] When I look at this New Moon chart, I actually see two Grand Trines in Water (although some astrologers may only see one):

Sun-Moon-Mercury in Cancer (16 degrees) trine North Node in Scorpio (13 deg) trine Chiron in Pisces (13 deg)

Jupiter in Cancer (2 degrees) trine Saturn in Scorpio (5 deg) trine Neptune in Pisces (5 deg)

Two Water Grand Trines in close proximity implies there are multiple layers of energy working with multiple layers of our consciousness, vibration, and internal wiring. I’m hearing (yet another new term!) the phrase “Water Pyramids”, as if the energies are a cosmic portal for opening up to greater levels of intuition, creativity, inspiration, and letting go of even more debris so the new can flow in.

With so much water energy gushing through the cosmos, I would normally say something about “grounding yourself” but I don’t feel that as strongly right now… “flow  yourself” is more accurate for this phase.

Typically, a New Moon in Cancer puts all the emphasis on the lunar energy, but Saturn is now stationing direct and this puts emphasis on Scorpio strength, passion, and responsibility. It adds maturity to the mix, which I feel is a welcomed contribution because Cancer can be quite infantile in its unconscious state. Saturn in Scorpio says, “Toughen up, buttercup, and I’ll reward you after you’ve done the work.”

On August 7th, Mars will be at 16 degrees of Cancer and trigger this New Moon energy again. Look for action, developments, and manifestations about a month from now based on your intentions and how much you release, let go, go with the flow, and trust.

Also in the energy signature of this New Moon is Venus in Leo trine Uranus in Aries, plus the ongoing square between Pluto and Uranus. Unexpected breakthroughs around finances, relationships, and women could manifest and contribute to higher levels of personal self-worth as a third-dimensional reminder that you are valuable. Or it could be experienced as sudden openings to more of your Universal connection that validates your awesomeness and adds an extra spring in your step. Or it could be that you share your sazzle, flace, and joymany, and the energetic grids on the planet light up even more. 

As an astrologer, I’m quite giddy about all of these special energies because they are highly rare. Regardless of where you are on your journey and the concerns/worries/fears that you have somewhere in your mind, this is the perfect time to willingly release and open up to more than what you can "see." All it takes is willingness, intention, and allowing (which are all free and available to everyone on earth). Then LISTEN and see how you are guided forward with next steps.
