Mayan Pyramid of Consciousness

I’ve been intrigued by the Mayan Calendar a lot lately, but have found that the information is initially hard to grasp - like learning to speak a new language in one day. The terminology below may sound familiar if you’ve heard anything about it:

• 260 Days
• 20 Glyphs
• 13 Numbers
• 9 Underworlds/Waves
• 13 Heavens

Is your head spinning at all? Mine was. So I decided to break this complex system down into the main points to ease my confusion. Hopefully it provides some answers for you, as well.

The essential message of the Mayan Calendar is that the Nine Underworlds, or Waves, represent an evolutionary increase in collective consciousness. We are experiencing the final wave right now after the calendar began (are you ready for this number?) 16.4 billion years ago with the very beginning of conscious cellular matter.

The calendar was initially understood to end on December 21, 2012. Yet the noted expert on the Mayan Calendar, Carl Johan Calleman, has explained that based on extensive research the true “end” of the Mayan Calendar system was October 28, 2011. All of the focus, excitement and prophecies around this completion date have ranged everywhere from lower consciousness-based fears to higher consciousness-based celebrations - but perhaps it's already passed?

To get an idea of how far humanity has come, let’s take a look at the Nine Waves of expanding levels of consciousness. (Note:The chart dates are written in European format as date/month; the beginning date for the top line is March 9th, not September 3rd.)

The first four Waves pertain to biological evolution. The higher five Waves, starting with Spoken Language, represent the consciousness journey of human beings (cultural, technological and spiritual).

One of the most significant elements of these Waves is that as consciousness grows, the duration of each Wave is lessened because time expands quantum-ly.

For example, the First Wave lasted from 16.4 Billion B.C. to 819,998,000 B.C. Now look at the Ninth Wave: it began on March 9, 2011 and ends on October 28, 2011. Just over seven months for this last Wave, compared to billions of years for the First Wave. 

Within each Wave, there are different Heavens (Days and Nights) that are associated with progressive energies. Below is the Ninth Wave chart from March 9, 2011 to October 28, 2011.

As a collective we have been unconsciously and historically trained to anticipate fear with grand endings and significant dates. These lower-consciousness beliefs, often perpetuated by the mainstream media and Hollywood, are what we are being asked to question now as we continue to let go, release and consciously choose what we believe is possible for humanity.

At it's highest interpretation, the end of the Mayan Calendar is about the completion of separation/duality/polarity and the beginning of unity consciousness. Building a new heaven on earth is possible. Living in the energies of joy, happiness and success is possible. Being connected to the highest parts of humanity is possible. And the possibilities will continue to grow and expand as we invite them in.    

On a personal level, it's an excellent time to continually remove from your life anything that holds you back energetically. Anything. (Many of us have been doing this for years!) Guiding questions to consider: What is your personal definition of Heaven? What do you want to easily and effortlessly direct your energy towards? What is the grand plan of your one, precious life?

The answer to each of these questions will connect you greatly to your Truth, Divine Love and the Unity of Humanity (h-U-ma-NITY).
